Terms of Service — Secretly: Secure Messenger

Welcome to Secretly! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Secretly application and services (“Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Secretly, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

  1. Privacy and Data Security
  • Secretly prioritizes your privacy and security.
  • All messages are end-to-end encrypted; Secretly cannot access the content of encrypted messages.
  • Please review our [Privacy Policy] for detailed information about data collection, usage, and protection.
  1. Security PINs and Responsibility
  • Secretly offers optional security PIN features, including Primary PIN and Emergency / Panic PIN.
  • You are solely responsible for remembering your PINs.
  • If you lose your primary PIN or trigger a data deletion PIN, Secretly has no technical means to recover your data.
  1. User Conduct
  • Users must not engage in illegal activity through Secretly.
  • Respect other users and refrain from harassment, spam, or abuse.
  • Users are responsible for the content they share.
  1. Account Registration
  • You are responsible for providing accurate information when registering.
  • You may delete your account at any time via in-app settings. Refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
  1. Reporting and Blocking
  • You can report content that violates these Terms using the in-app reporting feature.
  • Secretly may review content explicitly reported by users.
  • Since we cannot access encrypted messages on our own, moderation actions are based solely on information shared by users through the reporting feature.
  • You may also block other users to prevent further contact.
  1. Paid Services (if applicable)
  • If Secretly offers paid subscriptions or in-app purchases, payments will be processed through the platform’s payment system.
  • Refunds are handled according to platform rules.
  • Currently, Secretly is free to use; any future paid services will be clearly indicated in-app.
  1. Termination
  • Secretly may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
  • Upon deletion or termination, associated data will be permanently removed according to our Privacy Policy.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • Secretly retains all rights, title, and interest in the app, including all intellectual property.
  • Users may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission.
  1. Disclaimers
  • Services are provided “as is.”
  • Secretly does not guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • We are not liable for any loss of data, including data lost through use of security or panic PINs.
  1. Limitation of Liability
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Secretly is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  1. Governing Law
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
  • Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Latvia, unless otherwise required by law.
  1. Changes to Terms
  • Secretly may update these Terms at any time.
  • Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
